CHROMACTIC

Chromactic is a contemporary textile collection developed for an Autumn/Winter 2024 Alexander McQueen concept. The project combines trend research with material experimentation, exploring colour through natural dye processes and screen printing.

Research into emerging colour and fashion trends, alongside McQueen’s visual language, informed the use of symmetry, botanical influences, and organic forms. Natural dye experimentation played a key role, with plant-based pigments shaping the final colour palette and guiding print development.

Screen printing was used to translate these explorations into a cohesive collection, balancing craftsmanship with contemporary fashion aesthetics. The project demonstrates a research-led approach to colour, sustainable textile practice, and print design, reinterpreting McQueen’s motifs through natural colour.
