UNMASKED
2025 GRADUATE COLLECTION
UNMASKED is a multidisciplinary project exploring the intersection of art and activism through punk ideologies and youth culture. Rooted in the symbolism of protest textiles—particularly the balaclava—it investigates collective identity in resistance movements. Using self-portraiture, photography, and print design, the work reflects on protest, personal expression, and the legacy of punk aesthetics.
Inspired by politically charged punk music, the project unfolds across three mini-collections, each shaped originally by music from punk artists: Kneecap (allyship and youth-led activism), Fontaines D.C. (identity and discontent), and Amyl and the Sniffers (feminist protest and craft).
The final outcome includes crochet balaclavas, printed scarves, banners, and zines—unified by themes of defiance, identity, and collective action.
